Payment
and Insurance
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Visa,
MasterCard, as well as cash
and personal checks. If your visit is covered by health
insurance, we can file your insurance claim if you bring
your plan's membership card.
Our physicians are on the panels of most health plans
in this area. In addition,
we accept assignment of benefits from Medicare, Medicaid,
and worker's compensation. If you're covered by more
than
one insurance plan, bring a membership card for each.

Calls
We request that calls regarding appointments, billing
inquiries, and routine medical matters be made during
office hours. After business hours, if an urgent problem
develops, call 412-281-2255. Our answering service will
contact Dr. Sell or Dr. McKeating with your call. Please
provide them with all relevant information regarding
your condition. Of course, in a life-threatening situation,
it is best to go to hospital emergency room nearest
you. For families that have a hospitalized relative,
we ask that you designate one family member who will
solely communicate with the doctors reading their condition.
If the designated member is unable to talk with the
doctor during his daily hospital rounds a message can
be left with our office. Please be sure to leave relevant
phone numbers and the times you will be available at
those numbers.

Prescriptions
Medications will not be prescribed without the benefit
of a physical exam, and they will not be renewed if you
have not been examined within a 6 -12 month time frame,
as this would not be consistent with the practice of good
medicine.
If your prescription is renewable, please be sure to contact
our office at least 2 - 3 days before depletion of your
medication. This will ensue that the office staff has
sufficient time to obtain approval from our doctors. No
narcotic prescriptions will be filled after hours or on
weekends. |
